Got my new IAT today from fitech(actually its used) It is brass and not plastic like the old one and it screws in instead of pushing in.

Finding a 10-1.00 tap took some time...Got it done...... hope to see my injector tester tomorrow .

Drove the car home from mechanics place today with no problems other than a rattling flex plate. Ordered what I need to convert back to carb. Got Summit to agree to a refund for the FiTech after they waited on the phone withFiTech over 20 minutes to talk to someone. Once the carb is on it’s over to my tranny guy to fix flex plate.

Got the testing tool today..What I don't like is it doesn't have a PSI gauge but it will by tomorrow.

How did it go?

One of the injectors leaks badly at un unknown PSI and the rest? No leaks at this time.

What is really no fun is waiting  Two weeks for parts.

Sucks you are having this issue.  Not common, but it happens.  Good luck and keep us updated.

Got the gauge installed.  Now I know a can of cleaner will push 80 psi.

After running almost the hole can back and forth threw the injector it stopped sticking but not all the leaking stopped.

Where the end cap is welded on the injector is pores

unless you put presser to it you would ever know the pin holes were there... Very fine mist..

Now instead losing all fuel presser at the command center in 45 sec. there is still at lest 10 lb after sitting over night..

Update. 1. The car was stupid fast for apx.  3 miles than the injector hung up again.

loss of fuel presser in 45 sec.

Throttle hanging from fuel locking the throttle plate.

Will have to see if the ups gods get me the new one by Friday.

In boredom I say let us download  to the current lap top the software that the adder has.

I got it to work 2 times almost 2 years ago and gave up...… I have 2 hand units.(long story)

One will down load the software and the other will not and yes I changed the chip for I  have 2 different ones.

adder and non adder.  Lucky I enjoy the challenge. Got it done!!

Carb is back on and picking car up tomorrow. Talked with local car builder today who said the will no longer install these on cars they work on. Too many lost man hours getting them to work.

Its too bad because I loved it when it was working.

When it works its a lot of fun to drive but not so much when it goes to the dark side.

Random info...Checking your injectors without spending money and to much time..For leaking only!

1. Make shore throttle bores are dry as in over night. If you turn the key on they will prime so don't do that.

2. Disconnect the orange wire from the pump.(+)

3.Run a hot wire from the batt. or any 12v to where the orange was(+)

4. Let it pump up to max.

5. Look down the throttle bores and see which one is wet.

6. If it looks dry you are good(for now)

Simple as I can make it...

Unfortunate....  I created this site, because I have had great success with these units.  There is a learning curve and great care for installation.  Fortunately I have never had a unit malfunction.  I know it happens though.

I would try replacing the injector and giving it another try.

Drove it today with the carb back on and was plesently surprised that it seemed just as responsive and drove nice and smooth. Now over to my transmission guy to deal with the noisy flex plate. This has been an expensive experiment.
