Interesting Issue with Wife's Go EFI 600
Quote from bdhulderman on February 27, 2020, 9:52 pmOk, so we took her car out tonight on a date and ran great to work and back earlier, but when we got out of the restaurant it wasn't running right. So we got home and I hooked up the handheld and took a log. Then I shut the car off for about 2 min, fired the car back up and it was running a lot better and took another log. Interesting comparison of log info I must admit. WTF??

Quote from bdhulderman on March 2, 2020, 8:28 amI've got good solid grounds, very careful about putting those in, but I suspect the voltage may have been just below what it needed during cranking to initialize the fitech properly when we left the restaurant. I had similar issue on my '66 when the battery was low and not fully charged. I think on her car there is random high parasitic loss of current while sitting that I've yet to find, because it doesn't happen all the time or when I happen to be testing it. I do have cutoff switch that I use when parking for a week or more, and I'm confident, if I had used that when we parked at the restaurant, it would have been fine starting up.
