tripower wiring questions
wrapping up wiring on 58 Nomad tripower wiring, MSD digital 6AL, 2 wire dizzy, one wire left "tach in" (brown) assuming this wire will not be used, really wish Fitech would have all wires in their various diagrams and just say "not used" for a particular application.
lastly this vehicle has battery disconnect switch which kills all power while it sits for long periods of time, so can Fitech ECM retain memory without power, I did wire in a memory circuit for clock and do have this option, any thoughts?
Yeah, I had to put a kill switch on my '66 vette, since I'm in the process of painting it. That keeps the battery charged pretty well after a few weeks so I have enough voltage going to the fitech during cranking. I wait after turning off the engine about a minute for the fitech to turn off, before flipping the switch, then it will retain your settings from the last startup.
