FITECH 39001 low idle cannot adjust up
Quote from Neil.0405 on May 15, 2019, 1:04 amG'day mate.
I've got the GoStreet 400 system on my LJ Torana with a 202 in it.
I've had a lot of issues getting it to run correctly over the last four months and can very much emphasise with your frustrations. However recently I've been having some success in getting it to behave the way it should.
It's not perfect and still needs some tweeking. I recently discovered that I've got a voltage issue when cranking which is making it a pain in the arse to start. However at least I've identified what is causing the problem now and i've already got some ideas on how I'm going to rectify that issue.
I'd be happy to liaise and share some of my tuning peramaters with you. It sounds like my engine might be a little hotter than yours so not everthing is going to be the same, but it might help you to get moving in the right direction.
Cheers

Thank you so much for the offer, however, as mentioned in an earlier reply I fitted another companies system and I am not using the Fitech anymore.
I actually still have the Fitech unit. I needed to get a reducer because to return the system it must be complete - as supplied - so I ordered another reducer for the temperature sender and by the time it arrived work had got in the way and some other things kept grabbing my attention so it is still sitting there in the box ready to be posted back to to the supplier.
I took the Ute by ferry to the United Kingdom for the Easter and it performed superbly. We did about 500 miles and apart from a minor issue with a pinched wire on the M6, it drove like a new car. The fuel economy gets better after each long drive and confidence in EFI grows with each fill up 🙂
I am actually playing fuel roulette at the moment - I have not filled the car since returning and am driving it until the tank runs dry to get an indication of the actual range for combined driving. When I first installed the EFI I was getting just over 13 mpg on a drip test - at the last fill up before the boat back to Ireland it was giving just under 23.5 mpg. Those figures being obtained from the out of the box tune and self learning. So Once it plateaus may try tweaking it a little.
I have just received some speed goodies for the 202 - mild cam and lifters - and several full gasket sets lol. I will be taking the Ute of the road for a bit to rewire and fit the new goodies so the tweaking will probably end up being self learn for a bit longer.
All in all - the unit I am running now is brilliant - from first turn of the key until now - no problems and so reliable. As for the 39001 - I do have an S Series which I got a new 318 for recently - so I may try it on that; I am referring to a replacement unit not the one I currently have in the garage - that one was such a pain and so frustrating - definitely a sick puppy.
So If I do go down the 39001 on the 318 route and need some help I hope I can reach out to you.
Best regards
