Maybe a better explanation:

Data Logging:

Data logging is a useful tool for diagnoses and tuning. It allows you to check how the many functions the system can read and go through them point by point. This allows for exact adjustments to be made

When the vehicle is running go onto the dashboard screen and press the joystick on the right of the screen IN and a message will pop up saying Data Log On. Now you will drive the car and get it to have the issue you are having. Once you finish the drive you will press the button again and this will save the data log. Then you can turn the vehicle off and wait 15 seconds for the data on the dashboard to go black. Once this happens you can take the handheld to your PC and plug in the USB cable and handheld. The handheld will light up with three menu options, USB mass storage is at the top, select this. You should see a prompt on your PC to open the handheld folder, if not go to My Computer and you should see a removable drive, select it. Once the handheld folders come up on screen find the folder labeled log_file. Select this folder and inside you should see several files inside that say Dashboard, you can click on these and they will bring up an Excel file showing the data you have recorded. You can also copy and paste these files and send them to our technicians to look at as well.

thanx for the info brother i have decided to put an overdrive transmission behind my bigblock for better fuel milage

i bought a new 700r4 trans can the detent cable be hooked to the trottle body or do i need something else to hook it up

On a 700r4 the cable is not a detent cable.  It is a throttle valve cable.  Most people do not know there is a difference.  The TV cable is very critical of proper adjustment.  The best way is to get a pressure gauge for transmission and check your line pressures.  You can find charts online or, if you have shift kit installed, you will have a chart for that kit.  It is recommended to use a 700r4 bracket for the throttle linkage.  To install on Fitech, it is necessary to modify bracket or cut the throttle shaft.  Best to consult a transmission builder.

ok will do brother

Hey, I'm curious if this site is still up and running. I'm having the same issue as the 468 BB but its on a SBC 350. I installed the fitech and it runs good but has the issue with fast accelerations. I was advised to put an MSD 6al on it and did. The car would hardly start and when it did it wouldnt come off idle. I ended up replacing the ACCELL HEI with a MSD system and it now runs and drives fine; a little better than before but still having this awful bog down and have some sort of pop that sounds like the timing is out when you stab it. I have it at 20BTD, the car won't seem to run without it there. It darn near sounds like the engine shuts off then revs up. i have not touched any adjusments on the handheld. It's a 400hp edition all new ignition system, new plugs, new wires and significantly new FiTech 400. I read about the data logging and I'm going to look into it and make it happen during that period of logging; do you advise i do this or not?
