idle learn at -35.2

PreviousPage 2 of 2

Hi, another update for everyone.  I didn't change the timing so still at 15 base.

Started it up and let it warm up at idle, AFR Learn still at -35.2.

Went for a drive and then let it come back to an idle in the driveway.  AFR Learn now between -30 and -32.8 better but not the optimum.  https://www.dropbox.com/s/dc561nqx1fpiwna/Idle%232%20after%2020%20min%20drive.csv?dl=0

Went for another drive, had some lean surging after coming down from accelerating. https://www.dropbox.com/s/sjbsb0vf147hda4/Driving.csv?dl=0

Once again idling in the driveway after this run, data about the same as the last one. https://www.dropbox.com/s/43100t1fhno0bp6/Idle%20after%20drive.csv?dl=0

Now of course I couldn't leave well enough alone I had to go and change the Cam setting to 2 and set the system to relearn all.  I couldn't get a snapshot of data as for some reason my tire valve decided to rip halfway through at the rim = flat tire.  I'll get that fixed and run around at this cam setting and look at the data and see how it compares to the Cam 3 setting.

Oh and Fitech support just got back to me today, not for the software update that Austin gave me but for the GoShift, standalone system I installed with my 4L60E.  They sent me the documentation for the descriptions of the settings on the Ultimate LS Transmission control parameters for the laptop software and they are different.  So if anyone knows or has all the documentation for the descriptions on the settings for the GoShift controller, please send me a Dropbox link.

It would be nice if they had a TBI system that included the transmission ECM portion in one small package.  I have twice the wiring under my hood now.

The saga continues.

So I ran it at cam setting 2 and the drivability was worse.  I also ended up with another issue, fuel pressure over 100 psi.  Took the fuel pressure regulator out cleaned it up and blew out the return line, put it all back together and pressures went back to 58-60.  Next day did it again so I replaced it with one I ordered online, part number provided by Austin on this site. Haven't had an issue since.

it seems I have been chasing issues on this car for months now.  I have an exhaust leak now on the inside of my shorty header collector between 1-3 tubes that I can't get to to weld up.  So on order are a set of Doug's tri Y under chassis headers for Chevy IIs.

so driving around still have the idle learn around -30 to -35.  FiTech says to drive it more.  So that is what I will be doing once I switch the O2 sensor to the passenger side, without cracked header and see what happens to the 3 drivability issues I am experiencing.  Once the new headers arrive I'll be installing them and seeing what happens after that.

The saga continues but learning allot with tuning/settings.

cheers
